We are experienced cruisers (Diamond) and this was our first cruise out of Tampa. This particular itinerary was unusual in that it went from Tampa all the way to Aruba/Curacao, a 9-Night Southern Caribbean cruise.
The off-port parking at Park4Cruise was excellent. Even though we didn’t pay for the shuttle, we had no problems using it. The drivers were quite courteous both directions and even loaded our suitcases back into the car. This was quite a bargain compared to the port garage.
Embarking seemed to be confused in the terminal. Perhaps it was due to this being only the second time the Vision was in Tampa this season. Most of the workers said it was their second day. Getting off was also an issue, perhaps due to there only being four customs agents. Royal had control and kept us all in line (literally) so we didn’t all crush the gangway at the same time. Make sure that if you need assistance getting off, that you tell the staff ahead of time.
The cabin was very quiet. After all, no one uses the deck to get from the front to the back. Even though we were close to the elevators and stairs, we never heard them. No noise from the adjacent rooms, nor the decks above or below. There was some thumping in Tampa due to baggage loading.
We were in a RAV 4 and the lady did a great job describing things.

If you walk, Key West is larger than you think. Bring water.

All we did in Tampa was drive to the Park4Cruise lot using their excellent instructions. Traffic was congested at the small port, so we were glad to let someone else drive.
