What a great way to see the Hawaii Islands. First time cruisers and now hooked, however not sure if I would do a Caribbean one, but would do one for Europe, Iceland or South America. I read every review before we left to be well prepared and what to except. I am returning the favour as there are a few tips that no one mentioned. Enjoy
We flew Delta from Toronto to Honolulu with a 2 hour layover in Atlanta. This got us into Honolulu around 4:00pm Hawaii time. We stayed at the Hilton Hawaii Village, check in was a breeze. We had time to explore the resort and a good dinner before bed. A taxi from the Airport to hotel was about $50. The resort was good, lots to do and see. It was busy, but we had our own pool in our tower and very few kids. I would stay there again. We also found local places to eat off the resort which saved us money
We spent the two full days on Oahu exploring the Island by walking and rented a car for the drive to North Shore. Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cloudy, which you cannot control. We made the best of it as we are not sure when we will return. We saw everything we wanted within the two days and had a relaxing Saturday morning before embarkment.
Small . but right for us . We only used it for showers and sleeping. Rooms were cleaned twice a day lots of clean towels and easy replacement of beach towels. I did bring an airfresher , but we really did not need it .
