This was the second Hawaiian Cruise on NCL POA my husband and I have taken. This one without the kids (who are both young adults now). We are both in our 50''s and are Platinum cruise members with NCL. We flew from San Diego the day before the cruise (we live within an hour of the airport) with Hawaiian Airlines (first class going and coach coming home!) We really enjoyed first class, this was a 6 hour flight and loved the adult beverages and even got in 2 movies. Once we landed I paged Jonny's cab (pre arrange for a flat rate of $25.00). We had a driver waiting for us by luggage claim and even had a luggage cart for us. Great service! Once we were dropped off at our Hotel - Hilton Hotel Resorts, I asked for them to pick us up the next day for a ride to the cruise ship, the driver said she would but it would be cheaper from our hotel to just take a cap - wow! and it was!

Now for the hotel review. I booked the cheapest room I could using our AARP discount. Since we were only staying one night - I was good with a 'resort view'. I did join Hilton Honors before we left hoping for something extra and we got it. We got to our room and it was a corner suite with 2 balcony's - one facing the city lights and one facing the shore line of Waikiki Beach all the way to Diamond Head! We were happy campers - especially when the fire works show started and it felt like they came right to our balcony!

Next morning - walked to Diamond Head along the beautiful coast and back to pack and head to the ship.

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SF

Loved the remolded cabins on the 13 deck. Bathrooms were great - 2 sinks, large tub with jets and a separate shower with lots of jets and rain shower over head. Lots of room in the suite - we did rearrange some of the furniture since there were only 2 of us - we didn't need the extra space for the pull out beds. The Balcony was extra large and plenty of room and privacy. We were traveling Thanksgiving week and there were lots of young children in the surrounding cabins, but did not hear them at all unless we were on the deck.
