I unfortunately experienced a serious bout of Diverticulosis while on board the Royal Princess recently. I found the medical staff to be competent and caring, and the hospital ship appeared to have everything I have at my hospital at home. They made me as comfortable as possible and I felt very confident about my care. Unfortunately, we had to fly home after only 2 1/2 days at sea, but while on the ship, generally enjoyed our experience.

This was our 3rd Princess Cruise, and the 1st on one of the newest ships (the Royal Princess).

Pros: in addition to the medical facility, we appreciated being on a new ship that didn't show the wear and tear I've seen on older ships. Other pros: the water feature and huge MOVIES UNDER THE STARS hi-resolution screen that ran beautiful travel scenes in between the movies, concerts and sporting events. Better than average food. Friendlier staff than on our last Princess Cruise.
