Short cruise from Ft Lauderdale to KW, Nassau. Booked in Aqua Class, which provides larger cabins on upper decks, and access to special restaurant, Blu. Overall very good experience..the ship is beautiful, and has an intimate feeling. Aqua class cabins were recently refurbished and had modern feel and sense of privacy.
Entertainment was excellent. Kudos to the ships dance company which put on a first class LV style review and a very innovative/erotic dance show called Elyria (sp?). It was extraordinary, although it seemed like a number of cruisers were not prepared to see such a show, even though the CD warned folks in advance. Good for Celebrity for trying to do something out of the ordinary.
Food was good for a cruise ship. The Aqua class restaurant, Blu, is gorgeous, and has the feeling of a 5 star restaurant. Service is good and the food good, but not as good as the ambiance. Food in the large buffet, Oceanview, was good and varied, with many ethnic choices.
Lauderdale is worth spending time beyond the cruise? Some beautiful tropical areas of shops/restaurants, like Las Olas, and great beaches.
Key West is a unique place. Has usual cruise ship port junk shops, but also has interesting history for an island such as Hemingway House, Truman Annex. Take one of the island tours and u will see its special aspects.
Nassau has some high end shops on Bay st, and Atlantis is a must see. Otherwise I would enjoy the ship time.
