We are Royal Caribbean Diamond Plus Club members who took our first cruise on Celebrity and our last. We have cruised Royal Caribbean many times and Princess once. I don't understand the fabulous reviews as we were told by friends that Celebrity was the best and we would probably never cruise Royal again - quite the opposite. The food was good but not fabulous. The prices for the restaurants were very high. We ate in the steakhouse which again was good but for $45 pp I wasn't blown away. The lack of energy on this ship or things to do was amazing. There really isn't much going on ever. Wake up Celebrity. We aren't old. We want things to do. This also was a "Top Chef" cruise which had chefs from the show competing. If that's what you like. I don't watch the show so really didn't care. If you are a football fan like us, forget it! No big screen anywhere to watch games. And no sports bar. There are 4 little tv's in the casino with no sound for Sunday afternoon football. No designated night club. Some nights a DJ played by the Martini Bar which is the biggest highlight of your evening entertainment. Every night in the Sky Lounge is the supposed club which is only from 11:45 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. Ok so what are we supposed to do after dinner until then? Their so called "Elite" events or if you are a Royal Caribbean "Diamond/Diamond Plus" events are in a lounge from 5-7 p.m. which is not long enough if you have dinner at 8:30. The service in the dining room was very good. The bartenders really don't like people with the drink package and it shows. A lot of times we were ignored and they have attitudes. The few shows we saw were good. Would I cruise Celebrity again, no thanks!
