I Arrived in Gatwick 2 days early and stayed at the Hampton Inn on the airport property. This was very convenient for getting to the port. I chose Bus transportation but either bus or train is very convenient from this location. Unfortunately, other than my excellent room steward, the service on this transatlantic left much to be desired. This was my fourth transatlantic cruise in the past five years and I have never been on a cruise that was so poorly planned for. The wine selections were extremely limited and the drinks were extremely weak. Almost every day a waiter would tell someone in my group that a requested item was not available. I generally eat at Le Bistro at least once on a cruise, but when I saw part of the seating located in a very busy hallway area I chose not to. Also this was advertised as an Inaugural Transatlantic Cruise. It seemed more like a vacation for senior staff. However, the Headliner comedy entertainment, "After Midnight", and "Million Dollar Quartet" were excellent, though other performers were lacking. Embarkation for me was simple once I was able to convince the greeter I was a Gold Latitudes member but it did seem confusing for others. Disembarkation had to be halted but I was not in a hurry so I came off late.
Overall it was disappointing, but ok. If this is as good as Norwegian can do on their newest ship I don't know how many more times I will sail with them.
This room is extremely spacious with plenty of closets and dresser storage. The bathroom has a full sized tub and double sink
