We are experienced cruisers with over 20 cruises on Carnival, RCCL, Norweigan, Celebrity and Princess. We love Princess above all others. We booked this for our anniversary and because of the pricing we had a full suite so we could "level up" to Platinum.

The passengers were pretty evenly divided between experienced cruisers like us and first time cruisers. While the Star is an older ship we love the traditional feel and understated elegance.

Embarkation went smoothly with a lot more heavily armed security than I had seen before. The Full Suite lounge was fine and we waited about 45 minutes. On the ship, to our room and out by about 12:30. Read more
