After two prior cruises on the Getaway we expected this ship to be as good or better. There were a number of things that contribute to the low rating. To start the luggage took over six hours to be delivered to our room, the food at the buffet was very average throughout the entire trip and not what you would expect from NCL, the entertainment just average as well. Headliners was good, the band in the 5 o'clock somewhere bar had no business being allowed to perform and the main show the Million Dollar Quartet was cancelled.
The Latitudes reception was also unusual. The introductions took about 5 minutes and they left... Normally they would stay and visit with guests and hand out pins. We were bumped from food reservations 4 times and reassigned 3 shows due to special functions that NCL chose to accommodated a large group of travel agents at the expense of the other guests. I personally had never heard anyone say they couldn't wait for the cruise to be over until this cruise. I really hope NCL realizes what a disappointment the Escape is and fixes the issues. They also should warn guests when they are booking that they will have large special groups aboard that they will be catering to.
The cabin was okay but short storage to hang clothes.
They did a nice job. The area they took us was not the best for snorkeling.
The Cat "No Fear" was really good. The snorkeling was fantastic!
The shopping is just okay, nothing special...
It's Miami... crowded with bad traffic and not so friendly people...
