Cabin: Sky Suite 1

First of all, we have been brand loyal to Celebrity, which is why we chose this cruise. As it was a significant number of years married, we decided to do a splurge, and take a Sky Suite on the Silhouette. Being totally clueless with the whole guarantee bookings system, that is what we booked under, only to be given an S2 on Deck 12. When we saw that these suites are under the Oceanview, we decided to see if there was something else available. We were able to find a S1 aft cabin, port side. Number 1405. What an awesome find! Embarkation was delayed a bit, as were the cabins being ready, due to Silhouette's coming back from a TA, and having a Coast Guard inspection when she arrived in port. The process of checking in was seamless, and we headed to Luminae for lunch. Lunch was very nice, and a huge change from the buffet.

Our suite was large, loved the tub, and the wrap around balcony. Even though there is cleaning equipment on the short side, it wasn't an issue at all.

We had a butler who kept fresh fruit stocked, brought snacks to our room late afternoon, and set up breakfast on our balcony. We opted out of going into Cozumel, instead renting one of the Alcoves for the day. It was wonderful! Super peaceful, and we were waited on hand and foot. WELL worth the price if relaxation is a must for you. We ate in Tuscan (meh, just o.k.), and Murano (quite possibly one of the best dinners we have had, ever). Otherwise, it was Luminae for our evening meals.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

Any time I am able to get an aft cabin in the future, I will not hesitate to do so! Loved the cabin, loved the location that made me walk so I could feel virtuous about my activity, loved that it was tucked away behind an extra door. It was super quiet. Bathroom was huge by cruise standards, hubby LOVED the shower! The extra level of service for the suite level was totally worth it!
