Let me start by saying that I have ben on 38 cruises and this was not a bad one at all,,however it had some issues. The embarkation and disembarkation was excellent. Can't say enough good things about the Port of Baltimore. After we were checked in we went to the Windjammer for lunch.. It was so crowded that you had to walk around with your hands full for a while to find a seat. The food was not warm or hot and was not very good.
Royal caribbean has discontinued lots of amenities. There were no flowers on dining room tables, no chocolates on pillows and we never got any luggage tags for disembarkation. We never got the invitations for the Diamond Club functions. Had to go to Guest services for customs forms. It took over 1 hour to be served in the main dining room for lunch one day. The food was usually just warm.
The entertainment was another story,,, It was some of the best we have ever seen. The Tango dancers were Fantastic. Royal caribbean does a big business out of Baltimore and I don't know why they don't bring one of the newer ships there. This ship ever though it has been refurbished, is old and showing it. Since we had our daughter with us I thought it would be nice to have a picture of her. We get one free since we are Diamond Club members. But since we were not in it with her we couldn't get it. What a rip off. From now on I think we will stick with Celebrity and Princess.
The room was one of the newer ones. It was a large room with a great picture window. The beds were very comfortable It had a large 3 seat sofa and a flat screen TV,,however the choice of shows were terrible. Most of which were in Spanish. The bathroom was just like all the rest. Small shower but got the job done. All in all it was one of the best rooms on this ship.
