We chose Alaska as our very first cruise and based on recommendations from friends and online reviews, we chose Celebrity Solstice. I did a lot of research before we booked the cruise and even more after – there was a lot to learn!

Based on advice given by others on the Cruise Critics board, we booked our cruise and took advantage of their additional onboard credit as well as Celebrity’s 1-2-3 Go promotion. Since we got a beverage package, two onboard ship credits and mandatory gratuities included, we upgraded to a slightly better cabin than we had originally budgeted for, which was 7228.

We flew to Seattle the day before departure and took a cab to the hotel - Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown and enjoyed some sightseeing and a wonderful dinner at the Sky City restaurant atop the Space Needle in celebration of our 34th anniversary.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2A

Cabin 2A

Our cabin was located slightly forward of mid ship. It was very comfortable and had plenty of storage. It was quiet (except for the heavy-footed passengers above us) and the bed was very comfortable.
