Just back from the beautiful Solstice. Precruise we stayed at the York for 5 nights in Sydney, in a renovated studio with a lovely view of the Harbor Bridge. We loved that you can do some laundry before the cruise. We could walk (20-30 minutes) to Darling Harbor, Circular Quay and the Opera House. In fact, we even walked our luggage down to the ship.

Embarkation was smooth, plenty of staff.

The ship is in fine condition, clean and sparkly. Room stewards friendly and professional. Our only complaint was room 1674 (aqua class when we booked, now concierge), while it overlooked the wake (which we love) it had a bit of noise from the service closets, esp. when they reloaded the water bottles. There always seemed to be a collection of carts in our hallway. Regular veranda, no issues.
