As opposed to the 9-day cruise which preceded this 5-day cruise, those sailing were considerably younger and there were many more children. Some adults over-partied, but all the children we encountered were great.

Since we were on a B2B we did not have to endure the embarkation process. We did have to exit the ship, go through customs, and either tour Miami or wait to reboard once the ship cleared customs. We waited to reboard, but were surprised that we could not get into our cabin (the same as we had before). The bubbly on embarkation made up for any inconvenience.

The Norwegian Jewel is a beautiful ship. The colors are bright, public rooms well-appointed, and service quite good. There are a host of "free" dining venues, and though portions may be small in the dining rooms, patrons may order multiple items. We really liked the well-stocked Garden Cafe buffet with its multiple staging areas. We also liked the Blue Lagoon, particularly for lunch. The Great Outdoors on the aft of the ship is an extension of the buffet and serves a lesser fare when the main buffet is closed.

Great bed, large bathroom with glass door on shower, lots of storage space, only one electrical plug, no noise from outside.
