Just a couple of words about our first Princess cruise from 10/14-10/29 aboard the Star Princess. We really enjoyed it. The service was excellent; the food was great (especially the sugar-free dessert selections) and the ambience was on par with our past Holland America cruises. I especially wanted to recognize our dining room waiter Melvin, his assistant Gloria, and Joel, the barista in the International Café: they were all personable, courteous, very professional, and did a great job.
Some things did not meet my expectations: I offer the following:
1. The soft serve ice (milk) cream on the Lido deck near the forward swimming pool is beyond terrible. The sugar-free ice cream is delicious. Holland America’s ice cream service is better.
Nice paddle up a river and a subsequent jungle/forest walk.
Nice trip to the Molokini Crater...great crew and lunch!
Nice trip but felt as if the candy company could be deleted. Timing did not permit enough time at Richardson Park. Guide was knowledgeable.
