Sail Date: Oct 2015

We have stayed with Princess for 8 cruises now. Overall they have good itineraries, good food and entertainment for the money. Not the high end, not the low end. The entertainment on this cruise was top notch, especially in the main theater. The caliber of the singers and dancers was very good. We scored a nice room on Caribe desk with the larger balcony, although the weather was not great for use until the last couple of days. The crew is very good, professional.

The food this cruise was superior to the last couple of cruises, a nice improvement. Most areas of the ship are in good repair, there are few places that are showing wear. Port excursions were sold out before we sailed and there was little to no information provided on how to get around on your own - this is a definite negative. Docking in Brooklyn instead of Manhattan was terrible.

Port Reviews

Bar Harbor

Driver was very knowledgeable. The weather was not great but he took us a couple of other places since we couldn't go to Cadillac Mountain. Great value for the money and time spent.

Boston

A third the price of the ship tour for the same thing. Only downside was that the loop only went in one direction and we had to walk back to the pick up point for the return to the ship. Taking the bus would have made us late since it wound around way out of the way.

Newport

Only ship's tour we took. It was great, we could have used a little more time at each house but overall terrific. The tours are all self guided, you are just paying for the transportation and admission.

Charleston

Very pretty city and a very good tour of the area by carriage. Enjoyed it.

Halifax

We just walked to the museum, it was very informative. We walked to an old church but it was closed. Would have been nice to know what was open.

Quebec City

We visited the city for 2 days before the cruise. We saw the Parliament building, visited a museum and the Chateau Frontenac. Nice old city. Very European
