This was our 10th trip with RC, but first on this class of ship. Previously the Adventure was the largest ship we had sailed on. Embarkation was a breeze. We were on the ship within one hour of getting off the plane. Only one person was ahead of us in line at the terminal. Upon boarding, found the rooms not available until 1:00 which wasn't expected, but we only had to wait ten minutes. I only mention this for those who board early with lots of carryon luggage.
The ship was in great shape. There was plenty to do or plenty of places to sit and read a book if you didn't want to do anything. We had been spoiled by the intimacy of the Radiance, Jewel, etc, but came to enjoy the larger ship just as much.
Our 4 year old spent at-sea mornings and almost every evening in Adventure Ocean. He had a great time, and staff was wonderful. We couldn't seem to get him fed quickly enough in the dining room even with My Family Time Dining, so ultimately had him eat with the kids to avoid a painful experience for all. Our little guy simply isn't ready for the formal dining experience (although he liked the lobster).
Plenty of space. Well maintained room. The partitions between balconies banged some with the wind, but we fixed that with as wash cloth for padding.
The pull out bed was perfect for a small child.
