Emerald Princess - Very limited entertainment for a younger crowd (we had fun twice, maybe), younger being in mid 40's and younger. We've gone on cruises before where the entertainment was phenomenal for all ages and lasted past 10:30pm. The services with the ships crew were off, off being their state of mind is not into serving guests as the other cruises we have been on. There were several of us calling from the first day about our rooms being warm and were told it would take them a few hours to cool down. 6 days into the cruise and we were still calling about it. It's no fun to wake up sweating in the middle of the night and to top it off there's nothing going on because the ship has shut down. I'm not a big drinker and don't gamble so I would put my headphones in and turn on my music and walk around the ship completely bored. It was either that or go back to the sweat box. It's bad when you have to sleep out on the balcony because it's cooler or even contemplate sleeping in the hallway because at least there is moving air there. Every cruise I have been on there has been at least one dish that would make me say "I'm getting that again!" But not this cruise. The new york strip tasted like liver, I wasn't the only one who noticed it. I also had a porter house steak at the grill, the steaks from wal-mart have more flavor. I could bring my grill on board and cook a much better tasting steak without seasonings or marinating it. One evening I ordered 8 shrimp appetizers because nothing on the menu was appealing or tasted good and again I wasn't the only one. We were part of a large group on the cruise and it was a unanimous decision that we'll go on a different cruise line next time. I heard the comments from other Princess passengers while we were docked next to "other" cruise lines while in port "Look at the passengers on that ship having fun, why aren't we having fun and entertainment like they are?" and "Is it too late to switch ships?" I had better food, entertainment and living quarters when I served in the Navy. Sorry Princess but you turned out to be a toad.
