Our 6th cruise with Princess and first on the Golden. It took some getting used to after only being on Sun class before, but we found our way around by the end of the cruise. LOL. She was in great condition, and we were happy with all aspects.
We arrived 11am (despite email day before suggesting we go 12.45pm), as we already had a taxi booked. This was no problem, nobody asked us about it. Our embarkation was slightly different to usual, we we had two in our party who needed wheelchairs to assist with the long walk. Can only say they were looked after exemplorary.
Our mini suite was everything we expected and we were very happy with it. Seas were like glass for 12 of the 13 days and perfect weather so no complaints there.
Clean, comfortable in every way. Our first time in a mini, and hoping we haven't spoiled ourselves!!!
Having been here before, we generally just wandered around. Not snorkelers so didn't do much beaching, but enjoyed wandering around all the same
I'm sure it would have been beautiful, but as per my main review, we felt we were really discouraged from going to the island, and then were very disappointed to learn how good it was.
We didn't book an actual excursion, but used a local taxi which was in excellent condition and air conditioned. The driver took us the the city, then on tour around with very good commentary, stopped where we asked him too etc. This was about 2 hours all up and cost us $150 for 3 of us, so we were quite happy with that.
No excursions offered. We went over and wondered around excellent little market. All the islands are very scenic.
Pleasant day, not entertainment has often been the case with the islanders singing etc. Small market, some food stalls.
As we embarked in Melbourne (live here) we know how good Melbourne is for travellers.
