My wife and I had some reservations going on this cruise. Even though we are in the age demographics of this cruiseline, we thought it would be too much like traveling with our parents or grandparents. While the age of our fellow shipmates was older than we were used too, there were many 20-30 year olds around too. I did however not notice more than about 8-10 children the entire trip.

Embarkation. We booked our airline tickets through Princess. The rates they were able to get coming from a small town in the midwest was very competitive. However, we were going to be scheduled to arrive about 1 hour before our departure. So we booked to arrive the day before. We were able to meet the cruise rep in the terminal, and within 10 minutes of picking up our luggage, we were on the bus to our ship. The next day, the transfer to our ship was just as seamless. From the time we got off our bus at the terminal, went through the security screen, checked-in and was into our stateroom was less than 15 minutes. Great Job Princess! Easiest and quickest check-in of the 3 cruiselines I have been on.

Cabins. The rooms were about the nicest I have experienced in 5 cruises. The only improvement could be to the mattresses. They left a lot to be desired. But lots of nice extras. Like the bottomless fruit bowl. TV selection was a little thin, but you could always find something on, if you wanted too.
