Thought I would try Norwegian for the first time, have always used Royal Caribbean and Celebrity before. Couldn't refuse the deal, an 11 day cruise plus return flight from Florida for less than the cost of a return flight!
Nice ship, modest luxury and (being inaugural cruise) in perfect condition.
CABIN: We started with an inside cabin, which was very cramped, barely room to squeeze past the side of the bed and virtually no storage (1 wardrobe, no drawers at all). However we found out that the ship was not full and asked for an upgrade. The Guest Relations guy needed to speak to a manager who was not there, but we got a promise of a call back that evening. No call back, assumed the answer was no. Two days later I asked at GR desk, to be told we had been upgraded to a balcony cabin, but nobody had told us, so we could have moved two days earlier! Much better cabin, but still had to squeeze past the bed.
Inside - claustrophobic with poor storage, no tea/coffee facilities down a rabbit warren of confusing corridors.
Balcony - much better, but still very tight getting past bed (balcony doors were only 9" from the side of the bed).
Stateroom attendant excellent.
