This was to be our fourth Viking cruise and we booked two back to back. Unfortunately, the boat was disabled before our trip, but we were already over in Europe on another Viking cruise. The Hermod was in dry dock for repair. The bad news is we had to travel by bus to the ports of call. The great news is that Viking was excellent in the hospitality during the trip and made every effort to provide us with every possible trip experience short of the river travel. Short of missing the river travel, it turned out we really enjoyed our trip with a smaller group and we were able to see all of the areas where we were scheduled to see. They put us up in great highly rated hotels and provided us with very high quality dining.

We have already booked another Viking cruise.
