After a rainy start from Tahiti, the weather could not have been better the rest of the trip. Easy on & off the ship at beginning and end of trip. Tender operations went very smooth even the "wet" landings at various beaches were great. The staff is wonderful. They know your name on the first day and since the ratio of staff to guest is almost one to one the service is second to none. Food is very nice and served professionally. Special food request were never a problem. The included wine and drinks made the experience even nicer. Ship and stateroom very clean. I wish the wi-fi access were better, too slow and pricey.
The cruise director and his assistant were always about and easy to access. On board entertainment was very good, with a super magic act and several musical acts too and of course Les Gauguines which added a wonderful experience to the voyage. They are delightful! There were enrichment talks as well during the cruise. There was a former airline pilot who did a wonderful group of talks about many topics such as astronomy, Antarctic exploration, optical illusions and of course aviation with a flight simulator ride in a Boeing 757 from Bora Bora to Tahiti where we were in the cockpit and were able to see everything the pilot does. There was a professional photographer who explained his art and his wife who was an expert in Photoshop doing demonstrations on the program and an archaeologist who gave wonderful insight into the people of the South Pacific. There were several destination talks giving us insight into what to look forward to in each port. Towards the end of the cruise the staff put on a super show that left us all laughing.
Since the ship was at a different venue each day there was plenty to do, or you could just veg out by the pool or take a kayak ride off the marina in the rear of the ship. There were several places you could find quiet to read either during days at sea or if you stayed on the ship when in port, which I found relaxing.
Snorkeling in Aitutaki to see the giant clams was something to remember
