Cruise for 2 for about $500 for 4 nights...and that includes the recommended tip. We did the cheapest booking without the ability of selecting our room. For the snobs that post here, check your expectations at the dock. I had a clean room, hot/safe food, free entertainment and reasonably priced drinks. The crew is always exceptional on Carnival Cruises, they are hard working and always muster a smile with a pleasant comment.
Having cruised many times, it is clear that this cruise is scaled back on some of the amenities that Carnival offers, but again, look what you are paying. My biggest disappointment was the lack of bar entertainment. Many times the bars in well traveled areas were vacant of entertainers. The violin bar was always staffed, but this is the smoking bar by the casino and my wife is sensitive to cigarette smoke. Hailey Morgan was a special treat when she was tickling the irvoys in the piano bar. Singing along is encouraged in this bar. She is only on contract till mid December 2015 though. For those who have not done the "Behind the Fun" tour, the $55 per person is well worth the price. Our tour lasted 3-1/2 hours and visited the engine control room, the bridge and backstage. A significant amount of time is spent describing what life is like for the crew...this only helps you appreciate them more.
Quite, VERY dark, and very effective at temperature control...I like it very cold. The room is just like all the other Carnival rooms, balcony or otherwise, just no windows. Where the window would be is a curtain. My wife said that made it feel bigger...I don't know about that. The 4th deck requires lots of stairs or loss of patience waiting for the elevators.
We did the www.urbanadventurequest.com amazing race type tour/adventure. $50 for your group is a deal for as much fun as it is. We did the biking tour. Amazing day. We got our bikes from Browns Bikes, very close
