We have cruised on the Brilliance of the Seas several times in the past. This cruise was particularly exceptional. The new dining room menu was impeccable. The overall staff of the ship was professional, efficient, and very friendly. We did not find a fault with any of the staff. Of our 24 cruises on various cruise lines, we would rank this cruise in the top 10%. Our only negative experience with this cruise was the amount of smoking that took place on the ship. The entire casino (deck 6), which is pretty centrally located is smoking. This smoke found its way to our room on deck 10. There was also several designated smoking areas on deck. With so many companies, hospitals, states, restaurants, etc., going to tobacco free, we found this rather annoying.

Excellent tours of Truman Whitehouse and Ernest Hemingways house.

Rented a Jeep and toured the island on our own. Went to San Gervasio Mayan ruins where we had a excellent experience with our guide Niko. Stopped for lunch at our favorite beach restaurant, café Bonita.
