Royal Carribbean should be ashamed of their flawed advertising ploys on Shore Ex.

We are a family of four just returning from cruising to Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The Mariner of the Seas was a nice ship and clean although the staterooms we had were a little tired looking e.g. plastic peeling off toilet seats which had been glued back in place and painted over, tv signal wouldn't work when the hairdryer was being used etc. Stateroom service was fine, friendly staff although please note that the mini fridge is not refilled throughout the cruise. It will be if you ask each time. Drinks by room service are about 40 mins..so only get thirsty when you are on deck! Tanoy in room didn't work and you needed to prop door open to hear important annoucements. Very little sailing movement felt in our stateroom.

It was good not to have take the life savers during the drill hence you can carry on cruising straight away once the muster drill is over.

Port Reviews

Singapore

difficult to see animals sometimes and they were not that active considering this was the selling point of being at night however it was an experience and we did enjoy it.

Bangkok (Laem Chabang)

Temple ruins interesting. Missed out on the elephant ride nearby which was a shame.

Bangkok (Laem Chabang)

Loved this place and the guide at the Sanctuary was fantastic he/she was very funny and friendly and made it both enjoyable and informative. Steps are present so be careful if you struggle.
