Went on the Oasis for the first time. Knew the ship from a tour we had taken some time earlier and knew it was fantastic. It lived up to our expectations. Never knew we were on the ocean unless we were on the pool deck looking over the side. Stable, smooth, laughed at the waves. Food was as expected, real good, entertainment top notch. The aqua shows were excellent, ice show as well, comedy club was hilarious, main stage show, Cats, professional at every level although I still didn't understand it any more than when I saw it at the Winter Garden Theatre in NYC years ago.
Casino was more than ample but lots of smoking even though they, supposedly, had half the casino as a non-smoking area. No signs were posted to this effect nor were the slots so marked as non-smoking as they do in many land based casinos. Room steward was excellent as was our wait staff in the main dining room. Drinks on board were pricey but as we could bring wine on with us the cost was mitigated to a great extent.
Ports of call included Labadee Haiti, Falmouth Jamaica and Cozumel. Didn't do any land excursions this time around but many were offered. The buffet on Labadee was quite good and their private island made most others on other cruises look shabby. We had an inside balcony overlooking Central Park. Birds were flying around and chirping. You really felt that you were in a park. Free food venues were not plentiful (hot dog stand, pizza, Park Cafe) but the food there was quite good. All the other restaurants, bars, ice cream parlor, Johnny Rockets, sushi bar cost you. Room was relatively spacious and clean with lots of storage for clothes. All in all loved it.
Decent space, comfortable bed, plenty of storage for clothing and personal effects.
