This was our 4th time on the Pearl and Love this ship! Was just a short 4 day cruise sandwiched in between two concert cruises. Was wondering if the ship would still have the changes that are made for the concerts still up: the stage that covers a pool and bottom rows of chairs in the stardust gone etc. But no signs what so ever. Everything back to normal. Other then our time on her regretfully was so much shorter then our other Pearl cruises. Two 10 days and One 8 day. We sailed into Key West been there before by car , first time by ship and was quite nice! We tour the Audubon House & Tropical Gardens. Very interesting and gardens were beautiful! Were told we are welcome to go out on the upper level patios and sit on the rocking chairs so did that for awhile relaxing in the shade watching all the going on in that busy intersection. Other stop was NCL private island Great Stirrup Cay which have been several times and always love going. We caught the first tender, is only a short 5 minute ride. Knew it was going to be hot so walked to the other side of the island and took the hiking trail over to the lagoon beach then walked back to the main beach to snorkel. Then got lunch. Was quite hot by now so took the shuttle over to the lagoon area to find a lounge chair in the shade. Always amazes me how few people go over to this side, Is so pretty. We found our lounge chairs in the shade and took a brief nap. when woke sadly was time to head back, caught the shuttle and tender back to the ship. The entertainment was not any Big production shows, assumed it would not be where sandwiched between concert cruises. But they did do a good job of selecting a good comedian, talented singer and a slight of hand magician. Only complaint I have is that great coffee machine that grinds the beans and brews 1 cup at a time over by the kiddie section in the garden cafe, before you head out to the great outdoors was not working the whole time. Our walk off was the fastest and earliest time we have ever had. Also should mention we had the BEST waiter ever in the main dinning room. We asked to be seated in his section nightly and by the last night was told everyone is asking for Kevin. He was friendly but quick and perfect.
