Carnival Valor is a "tired" ship. It is time for it to be refurbished. There is lots of visible rust inside & areas that are not clean to Carnival standard. The wait staff was understaffed in the dining room, therefore service was not up to par. The Lido wait staff were slow to clear & clean tables.

Our cabin steward did not meet us until day 2 & that was in the hallway when we happened to pass him. He never used my name & called my husband, Mr. "Charles"... not his name.

They did keep the rooms very clean, but we were disappointed that there were no chocolates/mints on our pillow at the end of the night. (We did find out that is a cost cutter for Carnival.)

We had lunch at Pancho's Backyard Restaurant. The food & service were excellent!

Walked around the port & did a little shopping!
