We cruised from Barcelona to Singapore recently on Explorer. It is a really beautiful ship and we found the service on this ship to be very good. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly.

Although we did not get to Jerusalem because of the unrest and for which we were compensated by Royal Caribbean, we enjoyed the first sector of this cruise, Barcelona to Dubai, the most interesting, especially Petra, in Jordan. We did a private tour for this excursion with a group of 12 people, and enjoyed it very much. Sailing through the Suez was very interesting, particularly now that on certain sections it now has two way traffic.

Embarkation on the second sector in Kuala Lumpur was very chaotic. All tours were assembled in the theatre, and it was almost impossible for people to get in to get their allocated numbers. Staff were not helpful and a lot of people were very upset.

Cabin Review

Large Oceanview Stateroom

For the first sector of the cruise, we had an outside corner cabin, which faced the front of the ship. This cabin has to be the best kept secret on the ship. It was very spacious, more like a suite.

For the second sector we moved to a balcony cabin, but we were sorry we did so after staying in the outside corner cabin. The staff moved all our belongings while we were off the ship in Dubai.
