We flew from South Florida to NYC and over to Barcelona. I was happy to have three nights there to get used to the time change and explore this beautiful, vibrant city. Be sure to walk the Rumbla. Our embarkation was a little hectic with a long line of passengers.

We love the solstice class ship having sailed the Reflection on previous occasions. There are plenty of on board activities, including Shows, trivia, bingo, theme parties, art auctions, movies, wellness seminars, culinary demonstrations, fitness classes and Corning Hot Glass shows which I recommend seeing at night to enjoy the glow, Celebrity Life guest speakers and of course the lawn games. I found the service to be excellent and the crew to be friendly and professional.

We enjoyed several shore excursions one of which explored the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, the Isle of Capri which we thoroughly enjoyed and the ruins of Pompeii. Our tour in Rome was also fabulous. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Vatican and the Coliseum and we also explored some churches. As we had previously toured Athens we opted to be on our own. It is easy enough to take a local bus which is located near the port and get to the Parthenon and other sites within Athens for a song. My fave thing to do in Mykonos is to explore the shops walk up to the windmills and enjoy some Greek cuisine in the Venice of Greece. Santorini is equally as beautiful. Whether you take the tram or a donkey you will enjoy stunning vistas so don't forget your camera. If you pedicure is wearing visit the KissingFish and let the fish nibble all your dry skin away! Malta was also a lovely stop.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1A

Cabin 1A

Our veranda cabin was quite spacious with plenty of storage space, a comfy bed, a large flat screen TV, and a long couch which we enjoyed. They could use a refresh.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Great architecture, walk the Rambla.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

My only disappointment was that I was unable to go inside the Colosseum

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Excellent tour guide with a complete knowledge of the Basilica.

Santorini

Explored on our own. Lots of shopping and beautiful views.

Kusadasi

Enjoyed the site and tour completely

Kusadasi

Interesting tour and lovely bus ride to the site although the rest room stop left a lot to be desired.

Mykonos

Love this quite port of call with lovely scenery. Take a walk to the windmills along tiny lanes, do some shopping and eat in little Venice.

Athens (Piraeus)

You can easily take a city bus from the port to the Parthenon for a pittance and then walk to nearby sites and save a lot of money.

Malta (Valletta)

This was a beautiful tour with a scenic bus drive. The boat tour takes you to the stunning grotto. Not for the faint of heart. The walk back up the hill to the bus could be challenging if you have any issues with walking or heights.
