Sail Date: Nov 2015
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

We enjoyed a 4-day cruise on the Caribbean Princess on November 4-8. This ship is beautiful and well kept, and the crew is friendly and professional.

Our cabin was D529 on the Dolphin deck. Please be warned that the mini-suites on this deck have very small balconies with no roof. The people above can see right down on your entire balcony. There is no shade from the sun. And in a strong storm on our last night, water spray came right into our cabin.

We sail on Royal Caribbean quite often, so I want to compare the two cruise lines. We enjoyed the quiet background music in the Princess buffet and public areas, which is not usually the case on RCCL. We liked the squared-off beds, unlike the rounded off beds of RCCL. We like the grill & pizza available by the pool, instead of having to walk through to the back of the buffet on RCCL. We like lunch at 11:30 and dinner at 5:30, which is offered on Princess. We like how Princess does not sell orange juice. We like the Princess cooked, crispy bacon instead of RCCL’s greasy, limp bacon. We like the empty refrigerator in our Princess cabin so we can put what we want in it. We like the free movie channels in our Princess cabin even though they all went off for a whole day with no explanation.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

Nice sized cabin, good couch, 2 TVs, comfortable bed. BUT the balcony is very small with no cover. People above can see your entire balcony. There is no protection from sun and rain.
