I am not one to moan and in fact I can't recall ever complaining to any of the cruise lines over my previous 19 voyages but I am sorry on this occasion NCL got it wrong.
We sailed on Epic in 2010 and we had a fantastic time and therefore we didn't hesitate when we saw that Epic was going to be in the Med this October during school holidays. We booked two inside cabins next door to each so that our three teenagers had one room and myself and my partner had the other room. We ensured that the bookings were linked so we had no issues. That was all to change when we checked in at Barcelona. NCL notified us at check-in that they had decided to give me an upgrade to a Balcony and split my family across 4 decks. That's great, normally, but how could we have three teenagers four decks above us, it wasn't going to happen, and to make things worse NCL shrugged their shoulders and said there were no other cabins available nor could I move back to me previously assigned cabin. They told me to speak to Reception. Onboard ship I was told I could either cancel my trip or accept it as there was nothing they could do.....so as you can imagine the holiday got off to a bad start.
First night, they told us all our choices of wine were out of stock, so again another complaint to Reception who said they had run out of most draught lagers as well. Great.....my partner and I are both Gold Latitudes members, no packs appeared, so I took it up with the Latitudes staff who said they weren't aware of our status even though it was across our paperwork....Great....and thats kinda how things went for the whole voyage.
Great cabin, not that roomy but quiet.
