After reading other reviews on cruise critic I was skeptical about this cruise but a lot of the reviews were correct. I really think this cruise is aimed at the Asian market although there were heaps of Aussies and Brits a few Canadians and Americans on board. The ports we visited were at least 2 hour drive into Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh way to far for us as we have a few health issues which would require the bus to stop so we didn't take the risk. We did book a tour but they allowed us to cancel 24 hrs beforehand with a full refund. I would advise booking your trips on the net we booked weeks before and paid in Aussie dollar and a lot of people on board could not get the trips they wanted as they were full. In laem Chabang on the dock you can get a car and driver to Pattaya for $40USD which a lot of people did and said it was good they just walked around Pattaya dropped at a shopping centre and picked up at a time of your choice, I think we should have done that. We were just happy to relax on the boat. The food was excellent in the buffet and especially the dining room my only complaint were the lines in dining room for breakfast. The lines for the customer service desk were also very long all the time also boarding was a mess lined up for ages it took almost 2 hours to board we were given boarding times but apparently a lot of people can't read. Another thing that made me made was upon boarding we went to the Bar for a drink almost everything we asked for they did not have I would be very cranky if I had a drink package and couldn't get what I wanted lucky I didn't purchase one anyway asked for 2 piña coladas they only had enough stock to make 1 so we shared. My friend drinks apple cider it's on the bar list however for 8 days we could not get one we went to every bar. We hd a balcony cabin which was great 8626 right in the middle of ship near lifts and stairs our cabin boy Begas was very friendly and helpful and was at our beck and call. Overall it was good and we relaxed at the Solarium pool for adults only i would have rather gone to Penang and Phuket as I know that you actually dock or tender into the actual town.
