First, NCL clearly learned from the major mistakes on the Epic and did much better with the Escape, but she just wasn't quite ready for 10 days at sea.

We had a mini-suite on deck 9 and embarkation was done pretty well. Not everyone giving direction were on the same page, but it was smooth. Only suggestion would be to put handicap security at the first portal and not the last. We didn't need it but it just made people with issues have to travel farther.

Room was very nice with a few maintenance issues, one the steward could have already reported. Balcony door had something loose on the mechanism that banged loudly and only got worse as the seas rose. Also, the tub stopper was missing and the bed skirt was falling off. We reported all issues, but getting things fixed was the real problem. 4 days in and after standing in line and call each day was what it took. Twice they told us it was all fixed (it wasn't) they told us they didn't have parts (they found some). They never really knew if it was fixed b/c on day 7 someone showed to fix everything again. Regardless, the room was much more useful than the epic rooms.

Mid-ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MC

Much better than the Epic. Had some maintenance issues, but was much more user friendly. Obtaining maintenance was horrible.
