This was my second Viking river cruise. Based on how much I enjoyed the first one, I persuaded 3 friends to join me, and we were not disappointed. I personally enjoyed Prague more than Paris, so I wish we had chosen the opposite itinerary, giving us more time in Prague when we were not already overloaded with sights and a bit tired (my companions may not agree). I skipped 2 of the more strenuous excursions due to an injured knee, and actually had a lovely time on the ship as it glided down the river. In future, I may opt out of some excursions solely for the relaxation of it. (But I enjoyed the excursions I did take, and am especially grateful I did not miss Nuremberg. Our guide Tom was amazing and gave us such insight into Germany's journey toward self-understanding post WWII.) We made friends with 2 other women, so the 6 of us ate dinner together every night. I enjoyed the food, the easy on-and-off of the ship, the attention of excellent staff, the entertainment and especially the gorgeous scenery (long bus rides not so much). Already thinking about my next trip in a year or two.

Cabin Review

French Balcony

Perfectly adequate, especially since we didn't spend much time in cabin outside of sleeping. Good shower, comfortable bed, enough storage, everything clean. Cabin steward was wonderful. Next time I may try a balcony, although I love spending time in the lounge where you can see both sides of the river at once!
