Solstice Jan 18

This was our second cruise on X... we chose it because of the ship. I have been waiting for Solstice since I first read about it. We usually cruise on Princess, although our Mediterranean cruise in September was on the Carnival Splendor.

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale a few days pre-cruise and stayed at the Pillars. What a great place.. Right on the New River. Our room had a private enclosed balcony overlooking the pool and water beyond. It was on the small side but was large in character. While in FL, I highly recommend stopping at the Southport Raw Bar, Total Wine, and Skyline Chili. All great. We enjoyed the water taxi, beach, and took several long walks or jogs from our hotel to the 17th Street bridge. It was cool to look at the 7 ships in port on Saturday.
