I cruised on the Norwegian breakaway on october 18.... this is by far the absolute worse cruise I've been on...a little history..I have been cruising with many cruise lines for over 20 years now...I have been to dozens of places and have even cruised with norwegian before. I had problems 3 years ago when I went on the pearl in Alaska and figured I'd give them.another shot...worse mistake of my life to give these people a second chance after first time...

First of all we were cruising with family members in two other state rooms. We all booked at the same time yet, our onboard credit was taken away after we received an upgrade which never should have been allowed... One of the other rooms was provided a 200 dollar credit upgraded from 25 dollars the same day. The last room was upgraded to a dining package from 25 dollar credit after they got a free upgrade due to price drop as well.....no consistency among people on phone. We called up and asked what was going on and the excuse they gave us was Apparently, there was a mistake that was made online regarding a decline in price and customer service refused to honor price however when we pushed issue ocean view was provided but it was not made clear that we would be giving up credit. Also if it was a real problem with pricing online why was our other staterooms given a credit instead of taken away...

Also, we were told that we would be eligible for promotions all the way up to date of sailing, however, when it came time to request the promotion we wanted we were told we were not eligible for it. We asked y and they responded that we were not eligible past 75 day mark however we were offered a balcony upgrade with 200 dollar credit. After speaking to my wife we called back to upgrade and we're told it couldn't be done and this was yet another mistake. That it would actually cost us 400 to upgrade...seems like no one knows what they are talking about. Read more
