Since this was our first river cruise, we didn't know exactly what to expect. The ship was very well appointed and comfortable. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and our activity director, Elizabeth, gave it her all. We had to change ships half way through the trip because of low water levels in the Danube. The transition was handled with very little inconvenience. The two ships we traveled on were identical which made it very easy. We were thankful that the cruise did not have to be cancelled because of mother nature. We had a great time on the excursions, saw wonderful things, and learned a lot from the knowledgeable guides. Some of our favorite excursions were the pub crawl, winery visit, and Lobkowicz Palace. We were so glad we extended our trip to include Prague. The only suggestion we would make would be not to have so many Viking groups touring the same place at the same time. It got very crowded a few times resulting in some groups trying to get ahead of others to enter venues first. The food was excellent and the dining experience very pleasurable because of the great service by the wait staff. The on-board entertainment was great fun. We have already booked our next Viking cruise which is the best recommendation we can give.
The veranda stateroom was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed having the veranda to relax on and enjoy the scenery as it went by. The cabin steward provided excellent service and was very attentive to our requests.
