Liberty of the Seas Review

By comparison, this cruise did not live up to the RCCL that I know!

The embarkation facility that was built in Bayonne is a beauty, but it's too bad that the hired local staff are not better trained to handle it. Embarkation was seriously slowed down because of lack of training. Both embarkation and debarkation staff could not answer simple questions without asking other staff members, many of whom didn't know the answers either.

Having recently sailed on Serenade and Explorer, I was very disappointed in the training and knowledge of on board staff as well.

Food... The quality, and especially preparation suffered immensely. Selection also seems to have been reduced. I believe that The "Manhattan Strip Steak" which is offered as an alternative to the daily dinner offerings is nothing more than a processed "swiss steak". The "New York Strip Steak" offered as a menu item one evening, did not look any better.

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

We have been to all of the ports many times before... BDA, SJU, STT, SXM. We like all of the ports, but often stay on board to enjoy the quiet solace of the ship, while everyone is ashore.
