Splashed out on Aqua class for first time. Loved the breakfasts in Blu, and being able to relax in the Persian garden. Thought the entertainment was much improved this cruise and director Sue Denning was excellent. The acrobats were amazing especially considering how rocky some nights were!! Does Eclipse have stabilizers?? As usual the service was superb (ate in Blu, Quisine and Tuscan Grill). Got good value from classic drinks package but if you are into wine like our friends they felt the upgrade to premium was worth it.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

Lovely thick robes, fizz on arrival, canapes to order every day, the only problem was a nasty vibration in the ceiling, which, depending on the speed could keep you awake at night. The vibration was very annoying at times! Jimmy kept the cabin spotless and we even had towel sculptures towards the end of the cruise. Nice to be able to pop along corridor and up 1 flight to Persian garden for a lie down!

Port Reviews

Vigo

Nice walk up to the citadel with views back to bay and ship. Down through town with stop for Spanish chocolate and churros in El Cortes Ingles!

Tenerife

Unable to hire the car as couldn't book on line so not able to climb Teide as planned. Instead very lazy day at outside pool...just walk left along front as far as the theatre (worth a look!!) and there is a huge sea water pool which is really deep and chilly but perfect for a relaxing day. Almost empty too!

Madeira (Funchal)

Get off ship promptly, take shuttle, the go to cable car up to Monte. We took 2nd cable car (just walk left out of first) and went down the valley to the Botanical Gardens but you could stay in Monte and go to Tropical Gardens. Nice church to see too before taking toboggan down, expensive but once a life time. They snap you and get cross if don't buy! walked down 25 mins straight road then went to market.

Lisbon

HoHo bus right outside port is good way to see very hilly town. Did walk up through old town after to the castle. Would go back for a weekend..lots to do and see!

La Coruna

Took celebrity extended tour to Santiago. Only 1 hour on bus. Nice lady and headphones to listen too. really worth going in the church. Lovely town to walk around! characterful and wonderful to see young pilgrims!
