We cruise with Royal because they are a very good cruise line with a great choice of entertainment, excellent staff and a high standard in dining options. As well as that they allways have a very good range of nationalities which adds to the cruise experience. We were very upset and disappointed with this trip. We ended up on a ship holding a convention for 4,400 people from Central and South America. They took over the ship especially one of my favourite spots the Royal Promenade where you nearly had to fight your way past them to get from one end to the other. They didn't know how to wait in order for dinner as they would walk past anyone waiting to be allocated a table. The atmosphere on the ship was not what we expect from Royal. There was not much nightlife as the bars and the casino were never busy as these people didn't seem to want to mix with the rest of us. We seemed like outsiders who were gate crashing their special week. Well it was not a special week for us.

We treasure our vacations and always look forward to sailing with Royal, going home with great memories. Not this time, Royal. You really ruined the week for so many people. Your entertainments director who joined us for Meet and Mingle told us that they read our comments. I hope you do, and think twice before you do something as stupid as this again.

On the positive side I have to say that the Allure is a fantastic ship. Everything about it was brilliant. The entertainment was first class as we're the staff. We did my time and it worked very well.
