This was the second time on the Anthem this year. We were on the ship for the maiden voyage in April and couldn't fault anything. We had a great cruise just perfect.

Our holiday in October was a bit different. Embarkation was quick, and the cabin was clean. I noticed that the ship looked scruffy and dirty in some areas. Windjammer restaurant, tables were dirty and food on floor. One day when we went for our dinner there was no cutlery. We also had a drinks package, but you were charged for water. We were also charged for a couple of drinks and when we pointed it out the waiter was very rude.

Entertainment was good, We will Rock You, The Gift and Spectres Cabaret being excellent but the house band Rock the boat, good first time we saw them but this time they looked like they couldn't be bothered. Luke Arrowsmith the cruise director, dull and boring. I wouldn't have believed the negative reviews about the Anthem but now I have experienced some of them. Disembarkation was fine. Royal Carribean needs to get their act together.

Cabin Review

Cabin D8

Cabin was excellent, plenty of cupboard space and cabin was spacious.

Port Reviews

Bilbao

Bilbao absolutely lovely. We walked around promenade and viewed all the mansions.

Lisbon

A short walk to shops from the ship. Didn't need to get shuttle bus.
