Ok, Here goes, this was my 4th cruise, been on Freedom of the Seas (Royal), Spirit (Norwegian), Pride (Carnival) and this one....Im going to be descriptive so YOU know what to expect, no biases. This was not a bad cruise, but for some of you, it wont be for you. If this is your FIRST cruise, or if you are a young couple, I do not particularly recommend this particular ship. Its a nice little ship, however the itinerary and amenities are geared towards the older crowd. If you are older than say 40, and Trivia, Bingo and casino games/deals are your thing then this may be the cruise for you. However, if it is your first cruise, or you are younger, I think your expectations may be a bit high for this particular cruise.

The staff was very friendly and nice, so absolutely no complaints on that front but the entertainment and other events are geared more towards the older crowd. For instance one night, there was a 3 man tribute to Michael Buble, bleh..Im 28, I dont care...yes I know hes not that old, but hes more of an older person entertainer. There was a broadway show, eh....again, more so older people. the singers and dancers also tended to be more geared towards older people. The late night comedian was pretty funny so Ill give that a +.

Lets move over to food...If you are a TV/sports watcher, this is not a great ship to do so as the bars really dont have too many TVs..Schooner Bar has one and casino has several but all are small and space is limited...the big screen on the pool deck showed Primetime football games and movies but not the Sunday day football games or the baseball World Series. The dining room was okay, however, not much change in menu throughout the week. In my opinion, the specialty restaurants (Cost $20-$30) were worth it...there are 3, Chops Steakhouse, Giovanni's table (Italian) and Izumi (Asian, sushi)....All were pretty good.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin I

Ocean view room so could at least see when it was daylight and when not when in cabin...honestly, all the cabins on most of the ships are rather similar in all features so this is nowhere near a deal breaker in choosing a liner or ship.
