I just completed your 4 day cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. Boarding the Imagination went smoothly. Our cabin was on deck 7 which made it convenient as soon as we boarded. Cabins are clean and tidy. No complaints here. We had a 6pm dining hour which worked out well since we had our entire family with us including 4 grandchildren. I was disappointed at the quality of the food during our dinner meal. Portions were adequate since you can try everything on the menu. However the main entrée needs some improvements. My salmon steak was on the dry side and my son's steak was dry and overcooked. The table service was great. Your crew members work very hard to provide a memorable experience for all passengers. Your breakfast buffet was OK. Nothing special. The buffet dining space was a bit crowded and confining. You're always bumping into other people. This ship is not as spacious and open as the Norwegian ships. The low drop ceilings also made me feel claustrophobic. I didn't really care for the layout of the ship. Too many steps to climb between decks to get to your destination. Your elevators are extremely slow and not user friendly. Having deck numbers and alpha designations in the elevator cars makes it confusing to find your way around, especially on the first few days.
Disembarking was a nightmare. Too many people trying to get off and not enough crew members directly traffic to keep traffic orderly. Passengers were coming from all directions and cutting in front of other passengers who were waiting patiently to get off.
It was an OK trip. Probably won't be going back again. Norwegian is much better! BTW, music at the pool was way too LOUD.
