We have travelled on Norwegian Jade 4 times over the last 5 years and although the ship is good and the staff work extremely hard, we seem to have exhausted Jade and will not travel on it again.

Unfortunately NCL seem to have no imagination and although we went to good destinations and had great days (although the weather was a bit pants but that isn't something that can be booked!) the shows and onboard experiences were the same as they have been over a period of us travelling on the ship over 5 years. Don't get me wrong shows like Elements is fantastic when you have seen it once and at a push twice but more than that is a bit much. I would have thought that NCL would want returning guests, and by that keep the itinerary fresh, but they seem to be catering for first timers and not interested in keeping variety in their entertainment. We actually went to NO shows at all due to this.

The drinks have gone up, the gratuities have also gone up a massive amount on bar and speciality restaurants and then they attempt to add the "discretionary" gratuity at the end that you cannot take off until the last day (this is nothing new). Read more
