Since it was our first cruise ever we wanted to make sure that we would pick the right cabin type for us and the right ship after reading many reviews we decided to go Haven on the Getaway. Just off the cab we left our bags and headed towards terminal C. To my big surprise we were directed to a small room where they checked us in , took the pictures whitin 5 minutes we again were escorted to another room where there was coffee and hors d'œuvre, didn't even have time to make a coffee someone showed up to escort us pass the general boarding station to another waiting station that started to get very crowded .We just had time to sit down and were told that the ship was ready for us. So we once again were escorted to the Haven lounge. And further to our penthouse on Deck 12.

The exceptional service did not stop throughout the the cruise, every time we needed something there was somebody to help us out. That brings me to the Haven restaurant. The staff over there gave us the most incredible treatment ever,we have been to numerous upscale resorts and never experienced anything like that. My wife having many food allergies it is always complicated to go to restaurants (not on this ship). The Maitre D Kalai Pugazhedi and his staff (especially Yvette) made it so easy, he even called the other restaurants and arranged with the Maitre D of the other place to make sure we would not have to go through the same questions over and over. It would be a shame not to mention John Dsouza and his assistant Bowen as well as Jorge Ybanez our butler and our steward Rodherick. Every time we went to a show or got off the ship for excursions we were escorted and didn't not have to deal with busy elevators and line ups. Everything on the Haven section is top notch and the service is exceptional. Disembarking was so fast that 10 minutes after we left the Haven lounge escorted again, the customs procedure done, we were already sitting in the car rental shuttle outside the terminal.

Cabin Review

The Haven Forward-Facing Penthouse with Balcony

Cabin H7

Loved the window in the separate bedroom, the mattress is the best I ever slept on in an hotel, there is so much storage space, we had clothes for 10 days and it seemed like we used 50 % of the available space only. The bathroom was beautyful and very big, the shower is incredible. Located at the very front on the corner of the ship it was really quiet but far from everything.
