My husband and I boarded Voyager of The Seas from Hong Kong. Boarding was quick and easy. Fantastic staff to guide you. Our suitcases were by our door within the hour. We had a Junior Suite, with balcony ..Clean, big and spacious. What we first noticed as we walked around ship was that guests services desk was attracting a really long queue. Many unhappy and whinging guests...still at Port and people are already complaining. People... Need to take a chill pill. With so many people on board.. I think that Royal Carribean did a wonderful job trying to please all. Plenty of activities through out boat. Fantastic live music in all sections. Really enjoyed dining room, but you must try specialty restaurants. Giovannis, was our top pick. They are all capped prices.. So really great value for money. We also had room service for breakfast on the mornings that we where going on shore excursions. This is at no extra charge.
We both bought drink packages. Basic package as we don't during much alcohol. We found it not to be worth the spend.. So if you are just a coffee, soft drink and water person I think it would be better for you to just pay for what you consume, unless you have at least 5 or more coffees a day. The Promenade cafe was a big hit. Great snacks available 24/7 eg. little gourmet rolls, pizza, and a selection of cakes.
We did 3 shore excursions, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Vietnam, was one and then we did Pattay on our own, which I would recommend to do afternoon session because shops don't open til 11am, and then the next day did a guided tour of Pattay.
Fantastic suite. Well worth paying the extra. The room is a lot bigger than a general balcony room. It has also a larger balcony area whic was great. Clean and spacious.
If you choose to do on your own go in afternoon as all the shops don't open til 11am.
What a hidden treasure... Just a beautiful place with so much history behind it. Worth seeing!
