First things first, this was my 7th cruise on a Carnaval ship dating back to 1996. I have sailed on Carnaval Fantasy (twice), Ecstasy, Sensation (twice) and Dream. I loved every cruise so far until our trip on the Breeze from Miami on Oct 18th.

My wife and I are in our early 30s and this was our 4th cruise together. Last year we sailed on the Carnaval Dream from Port Canaveral on the 7 day Western Caribbean. We booked a cove balcony (our first balcony ever) and we loved everything except the fact that we booked during Spring Break. (My fault) When we decided to book our cruise this year we decided that we would try the Breeze since its a sister ship to the Dream. Once again we booked a cove balcony since we enjoyed it so much in the past. This time we booked 3 staterooms as my daughter was traveling with us as well as my mom, stepdad, sister and a friend. (All 3 rooms were cove balconies.)

Upon arriving at the port in Miami we realized it was not nearly as organized as Port Canaveral. No one seemed to know what was going on. We arrived around 10:00 that morning and it took 2 1/2 hours to get finished and on board. (Longest wait by far) Once we were on board is where the trouble really began. First of all when we stepped into the atrium we were just let down by the over-all decor. Compared to Carnaval ships of the past the Breeze is just plain and boring. We made our way to our cabins 2279, 2277 and 2285. We found our cabins were ready and very neat and clean but unlike the cabins on the Dream these were again just plain and boring.
