Breakaway!…We were a bit worried about the large number of negative reviews for this ship and can now understand why… I'm sorry to say. Regrettably we have some bad experiences…One big problem for us was that we were charged TWICE for a show - that we may not have noticed. overall -the running of the ship is shambolic compared to the other sister ships to be honest. We have seen a side of NCL we didn't like. If things are ok then you wont know this but if things don't run smoothly - don't expect any kind of meaningful apology. they pay lip-service to owning up to errors and really don't care if you go away happy or not. When i was complaining to the girl at “Customer Services” she listened but there was no empathy or sympathy in her eyes or manner… she just wanted me gone.

Booking in … this wasn't bad… quite quick and fairly well organised although i felt a bit like a sheep going through the pens ready to be fleeced (a bit more about the fleecing later on!) Our trip started in New York on a very cold October day… ear muffs weather! but we hoped for better weather once underway. unfortunately the weather the whole trip was cool and very windy.
